Edward F. Turberg (1939- ) is a noted architectural historian, preservationist, author, and lecturer. He started his career at the North Carolina Division of Archives and History as a restoration specialist after receiving his Masters from the University of Virginia in Architectural History. He is married to Janet Seapker, who was the director of the Cape Fear museum for 22 years and a well-known preservationist in her own right. Both Ed and Janet have made significant contributions to preserving Wilmington's historic district.
