Benjamin H. J. Ahrens (1844-1912) was born in Germany, and died in Wilmington. Adelheit (1851-1938), his wife, was also born in Germany. Their sons, Adolph (1881-1953),and Eduard (1876-1961), were born in Wilmington. The whole family is buried in Oakdale Cemetery.
