Marion W. Reaves (1904-1970) was the father of Wilmington, NC historian Bill Reaves. He was the son of Richard Martin Van Buren Reaves, one of the last surviving Confederate Veterans of Wilmington. After working in the shipyards as a boy, he worked as a structural ironworker in the north as well as managing rental properties. He is buried in Bellevue Cemetery.
