Susan Wright Sampson Dudley (1865-1933) was a teacher at the Peabody Free School in Wilmington, NC. She was the daughter of James D. Sampson and Minerva Kellogg Sampson. She married James Benson Dudley in 1882. She wrote the Alma Mater for the Agriculture & Mechanical College while her husband was president of the school in Greensboro. She also wrote a drama, "The Land of Opportunity," which was presented by students at the college in 1917. She is buried in Pine Forest Cemetery.
