Portrait of Benjamin Franklin Hall.
Benjamin Franklin Hall (1842-1934) was born in Duplin County, NC. He fought in the Civil War with the Company A, 43rd North Carolina Infantry Regiment, known as the Duplin Rifles. After the war he taught school for three years in Duplin, and then moved to Wilmington, NC, where he was a successful business man. He is buried in Oakdale Cemetery.
