Description	Godwin's Lumber Yard near Smith's Creek on Castle Hayne Road. The Godwin Lumber Co. was organized in the middle 1920s by Eddie Walter Godwin (1873-1932), a native of Georgetown, Delaware. After the senior Godwin's death, the firm was known as E. W. Godwin's Sons and is still owned by their descendants. Note logs floating in slue, ready for cutting and planing.
