Title	Dr. George Koseruba
Description	Dr. George M. Koseruba was the son of a Russian couple who immigrated to Canada. He attended Southern California's Loma Linda University where he earned his M.D. He came to Wilmington in 1939 and served his internship and first year residency at James Walker Memorial Hospital. He was a practicing Pediatrician (part-time) at Knox Clinic Pediatrics. He also worked at the Babies Hospital in Wrightsville Beach, which in the 1940's was the only pediatric specialty clinic in the state. He specialized in blood transfusions in babies suffering from anemia. He served in the ARMY from 1942-46 and treated soldiers at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington, D.C. and studied tropical diseases. He died at the age of 94 of congestive heart failure, December 23rd, 2007, in Wilmington, N.C..
