Title	Dr. Charles Nesbitt
Description	Dr. Charles Torrence Nesbitt (1870-1938) was educated at the Baltimore Medical College and received his M.D. in 1903. He was in private practice as a Neurologist from 1907-1911 and from 1923-1938. He served as the Wilmington Superintendent of Health from 1911-1913. He was noted for his efforts to implement screened privies, improve sewer service and prevent water contamination. Nesbitt Courts, a local low -income housing development, was named after him. He died in Wilmington in 1938.
