Title	Dr. Avon Hall Elliot
Description	Dr. Avon Hall Elliot, (1890-), was born in Manchester, N.C., September 29th, 1890. His parents were Johnathan Evans and Alice Hall Elliot. He married Miss Myrtle Elaine Vandegrift. His brother, George Douglas Elliot, was also a Medical Doctor (General Practice). He was educated at Davidson, (A.B.), in 1914 and received his M.D. from Jefferson in 1919. He was Director of The New Hanover County Health Department and won an award for long-time service with credit and honor in Public Health. He practiced medicine from 1922-1951.
